This engraving depicts Noah's famous ark.  Similar to a Mesopotamian story found in the Epic of Gilgamesh, the Christian Bible (Hebrew Torah) tells a story about a man named Noah, commanded by God to build an ark.  God sent a flood that covered the entire earth.  Noah was later able to repopulate the earth because he had brought his family, along with two of each living creature, into the ark to ride out the flood.
