After burying his wife, Rachel, near Bethlehem, Jacob was reunited with his father, Isaac, at Mamre.  This engraving depicts their meeting.  According to the Old Testament, Isaac died several years later, at the age of one hundred eighty.  Jacob and his brother, Esau, buried Isaac in the cave of Machpelah.
