Please be aware that our documents are formatted to the standard American (U.S.) paper size of 8.5" x 11" (21.59 cm x 27.94 cm).
As you can see, this American paper size is very similar to the A4 international paper size (21 cm x 29.7 cm).
However, when printing U.S. worksheets on A4 paper, expect to see a longer margin at the top and bottom of the sheet, and a smaller margin on the right and left sides of the sheet.
Less common is the international B series of paper sizes. The closest to standard U.S. letter paper is the B4 size, which measures 9.8" x 13.9" (25 cm x 35.3 cm).
Both the A and B series of international paper sizes follow the formula of doubling or halving to achieve the next size in the series. For example, fold or cut a sheet of A4 or B4 paper along its shorter span, and each half or piece is equivalent to the A5 or B5 size. U.S. paper sizing does not follow such a convenient formula for its most commonly used paper sizes. |
