This image features Scene 44 of the famous Bayeux Tapestry (located in France's Bayeux Museum), created following William the Conqueror's victory in 1066. In it, we see Duke William of Normandy and his two half-brothers: to his right is Bishop Odo of Bayeux, and to his left is Count Robert of Mortain.
