ABC Brainstorming sheets are terrific for getting kids to come up with ideas. For example: Students are about to begin studying World War I. How many terms do they already know related to World War I? Under "G" students might write "Germany." Under "W" students might write "war." For extra fun: Keep track of the time. Reward students who complete their charts before time runs out. Follow-up: After a topic has been taught, repeat the brainstorming activity. Do students remember more terms? Do students complete the activity more quickly? |
